Your new role
As the Account Manager (Metering) at PLUS ES, you’ll be at the forefront of driving growth by managing and seeking new business opportunities across metering, data and other value-added services to support strategic business plan targets. You will have a key responsibility in maintaining and growing relationships with key retailers, brokers, and customers to expand our client base and enhance customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
- Providing account management and customer care for all customers within the assigned portfolio.
- Managing the inbound Sales queue for the Account Management team including website and other general enquiries.
- Contract management assistance – tracking expiring agreements, securing renewals, liaising with the commercial team as required.
- Supporting the development and delivery of account plans for key customers and assisting in the resolution of day-to-day escalations.
- Identify and respond to relevant RFP’s, Tenders, quote requests within nominated timeframes by seeking input from relevant business stakeholders.
- Provide accurate reporting against key metrics to track performance and sales targets.

The successful candidate will have proven experience and excellent understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM), specifically in relation to contestable metering and smart metering services. The ideal applicant will have a thorough understanding of the PLUS ES product and service portfolio as well as exceptional interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including the ability to foster strong relationships.
To be successful, you will also have:
- Knowledge of smart metering customers, prospects and processes.
- Previous experience in a similar industry and role.
- Customer focused approach to trouble shooting, resolving issues and building confidence in PLUS ES brand, services and capabilities.
- The ability to collaborate with key teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives as well as proven negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced literacy of the tools, systems and processes associated with metering account management, including Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, SalesForce, SAP/Storm, MBS/IEE.
- Ability to exercise a high level of confidentially and discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
