Reporting to the Manager of Planning & Works Integration, the Works Planner will be responsible for the planning, coordination and baselining of the integrated works plan. You will have an essential role in collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure optimisation of resources to deliver efficient and effective project/program outcomes that meet cost and quality benchmarks.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Defining and negotiating delivery partner targets (baseline) to achieve organisational priorities.
  • Define work packages with consideration of delivery partner constraints and organisational requirements.  
  • Forecast, manage and monitor delivery partner delivery performance.
  • Identify opportunities and manage the risks associated with delivery constraints.
  • Monitor, evaluate and provide feedback on all aspects of the rolling integrated works plan by providing up to date information and analysis on project and program delivery performance.
  • Identify, advise and develop process improvements and forecasting tools.

 

What you bring to the role

You will bring with you strong previous experience in negotiation and stakeholder management skills as well as demonstrated knowledge and experience in scheduling, planning and project management. Our Works Planner will have the ability to work both as part of a team and independently and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

To be successful, you will have:

  • Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline, or an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or accredited AQF Level 5 in Project Management, with related industry experience.
  • Experience in budget management and forecasting of project costs.
  • Proven high attention to detail, personal initiative and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive or personal matters.
