Your New Role
As the Truck/Plant Mechanic, you will join our Fleet Maintenance team where you'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet of heavy vehicles and specialised plant to ensure safe, reliable operation, both now and into the future. You'll be part of a high-performing team, focusing on compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVR) and the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS), with an emphasis on safety and reliability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a cost effect service for major inspections of plant and fleet.
- Working in a fully equipped workshop with service/repair bays, pits, and overhead cranes.
- Using provided tools, including personal hand tools, to carry out repairs and maintenance.
- Liaising and resolving internal and external stakeholder enquiries.
To be successful, you will have:
- Trade Qualification in at least one of the following:
- Automotive Light or Heavy Vehicle
- Plant Mechanic
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience (desirable).
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Current HR drivers licence (or above).
- RMS Inspection Light/Heavy vehicle certification.
- High Risk Work Licence (EWP, C2 Crane, Forklift).
