Your new role
Reporting directly to the Head of Transmission & Services, this role has 4 direct and 20 indirect reports. This pivotal role involves leading a dynamic team tasked with a diverse range of administrative support services for our Safety, Delivery and Operations group. To enhance operational efficiency and achieve exceptional outcomes in safety, quality, and commercial viability. This role entails strategic planning to elevate support services, introducing innovative solutions, and refining processes for optimal performance. It's about driving continuous improvement, nurturing team capabilities, and cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation. Moreover, it involves fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and overseeing impactful projects that propel us toward sustained success.   • A tertiary qualification in business administration, management, or a related field; and/or significant experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within a support services context.
  • Class C Drivers Licence, and ability to travel to all areas of the Ausgrid network
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team, with experience in developing leaders and frontline staff across a large geographical area.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, motivate, and empower a successful team through strong leadership and support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrated capability in building relationships across a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including ability to balance different priorities and requirements across stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing stakeholder expectations in stressful situations to minimise and deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in the design and implementation of lean processes and value-adding activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to practically align these to business objectives in the context of varying stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to establish performance reports in an organisational context for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to develop and implement performance reporting to identify, test and measure improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver projects to quality, time, and cost while maintaining a good customer experience.
  • Advanced time management and organisation skills, demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals.
  • Advanced experience in using Microsoft Office in a team environment.
