A newly created role of Stakeholder and Engagement Officer has become available to join an existing team of two based in our Haymarket Office. The role will report to the Stakeholder and Engagement Manager as part of the Brand and Reputation team and is focused on supporting engagement professionals across our business, and delivering various corporate stakeholder programs You will support our internal stakeholders with community engagement programs including digital tools, reputation management and community grants.

 

The role will suit someone who wants to grow their career with us and by nature is organised, collaborative and enjoys and has key skills in writing.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Assist in planning and delivering stakeholder engagement activities aligned with business strategy.
  • Map and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate workshops, meetings and communications without Customer Consultative Committee.
  • Support digital engagement platforms and stakeholder databases, ensuring we capture sentiment and provide meaningful insights.
  • Prepare clear, engaging reports, briefings and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Work across teams to ensure communication is consistent and community focused.
  • Help identify and manage emerging issues and risks.
  • Assist with team budget administration.
  • Create internal communications to promote engagement initiatives across the business.

What you bring to the role

Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values. To be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, social sciences or a related discipline.
  • Around 3+ years’ experience in a stakeholder engagement role or communications.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and comfort using digital engagement platforms.
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse communities

  • Business unit leaders
  • Project, change and customer service teams
  • Industry groups and engagement professionals
  • Community members and Customer Committee representatives
  • External engagement tool providers
