Are you a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with the business to deliver accurate financial insights?
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. You will report to our Senior Finance Business Partner based in Haymarket and will support key stakeholders in our Infrastructure business, playing a key role in managing month-end accounting, financial reporting, including budgeting and forecasting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the full financial cycle while gaining exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects and commercial initiatives.
This role offers genuine development opportunities, with exposure to strategic projects, business cases, commercial analysis and broader investment decisions as you grow within the team.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you'll be the trusted finance partner ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
You will take ownership of month-end activities, provide meaningful financial analysis and help drive financial discipline across operational and capital expenditure programs.
- Lead and coordinate month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations and result reviews.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
- Analyse and explain variances across revenue, operating expenditure and capital expenditure.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance and accountability.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
- Maintain financial integrity and discipline across cost centres and project portfolios.
- Provide insights into financial performance, trends and key business drivers, as well as well as maintaining and enhance financial models to evaluate business cases
- Provide regular financial and statistical reporting and develop tools that enable efficient decision making
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand the full P&L and capital investment impacts of business decisions.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing month-end and monthly reporting activities in a large, complex organisation.
- Strong SAP Finance experience.
- Experience preparing management accounts and providing meaningful financial analysis.
- Sound understanding of full P&L management and capital expenditure reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and accountability.
Highly regarded:
- CA Qualified.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Commercial modelling skills are advantageous.
