As an Enterprise Architect, you’ll play a critical role in shaping Ausgrid’s technology strategy, with a particular focus on Operational Technology (OT), Cloud and Operations. You’ll work closely with business leaders, solution architects, and delivery teams to translate business vision into actionable technology roadmaps that support our energy transition and digital transformation.

What you bring to the role

To be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:
- Lead the development of enterprise-wide architecture strategies focused on Operational Technology (OT), Cloud and Operations
- Communicating complex technical concepts in business-focused language by translating complex challenges into strategic, actionable solutions.
- Developing and maintaining reference architectures and capability models for OT, Cloud and Operations domains.
- Creating domain-specific roadmaps and target states aligned to strategic priorities, including application dispositioning.
- Leading architecture governance and championing adoption of standards and methods.
- Managing technical debt and architecture risks across OT, Cloud and Operations environments.
- Collaborating with federated architecture teams to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Engaging with industry to bring forward innovative perspectives and trends.
- Supporting enterprise planning, investment prioritisation, and transformation programs.
- Coaching IT professionals to maintain an enterprise-wide architectural view.
- Ensuring architecture supports secure, scalable, and resilient OT systems and cloud platforms.
Operational Technology (OT):
- Experience designing and governing architectures for OT environments.
- Understanding of OT-specific security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with utility domain operations and integration of OT systems with enterprise platforms.
Cloud Infrastructure:
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (specifically Azure).
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
- Experience in cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud environments.
General Enterprise Architecture:
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proven engagement with executives to align architectural outcomes with strategic priorities.
- Continuous learning mindset and contribution to team knowledge sharing.
- Strong capability in architecture modelling, design, and use of modelling tools.
- Deep understanding of business capability mapping and strategic alignment.
- Experience applying EA frameworks, principles, and governance.
Desirable:
- TOGAF or equivalent EA certification.
- Exposure to AI technologies and self-directed learning in emerging tech.
