Your new role

As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant (IT & OT), you’ll work across the business to provide strategic advice on how to achieve operational goals while managing cyber risk. You’ll bridge the gap between technical security controls and business outcomes—ensuring that both IT and OT environments are secure, compliant, and resilient.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing cyber security strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps
  • Conducting cyber risk assessments and gap analysis across IT and OT environments
  • Developing position papers and presentations on key cyber security issues and Ausgrid’s response
  • Advising on compliance with standards such as NIST, AESCSF, IEC 62443, and ISO 27001
  • Assessing risks in ICS, SCADA, and critical infrastructure systems
  • Collaborating with executive leadership, IT teams, and OT engineers to align security with business objectives
  • Staying current with emerging threats and trends in cyber security
  • Contributing to the development of policies, governance frameworks and best practices

Spark our interest!

Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude and alignment to our core values.

We’re looking for a pragmatic, charismatic communicator who can build trust across all levels of the business. You’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, IT, or a related field
  • Industry certifications (e.g. (ISC)², ISA/IEC 62443, CompTIA, SANS, ISACA)
  • 7+ years of experience in cyber security engineering, architecture, or consulting
  • 3+ years working in OT or critical infrastructure environments
  • Deep knowledge of IT and OT cyber security risks and controls
  • Experience advising and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • The ability to translate complex risks into actionable business insights
  • Familiarity with the AESCSF framework
