As a Scheduler, you'll play a key role in keeping our projects and programs moving, ensuring the right people and resources are in the right place at the right time. You’ll work closely with field teams, schedulers, and stakeholders to support the safe and efficient delivery of capital, maintenance, major works, and customer-driven programs.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and enjoys problem‑solving, coordinating workflow, and supporting operational excellence.

  • Managing the daily allocation, scheduling and dispatch of resources across multiple projects and programs of work.
  • Ensuring efficient utilisation of field staff and plant, with a focus on scheduling a full and productive day’s work.
  • Reviewing project and program plans to determine and assign appropriate resource levels.
  • Collaborating with schedulers across regions to maintain consistency and support delivery outcomes.
  • Providing training, guidance and mentoring to staff on scheduling systems and processes.
  • Monitoring progress of projects and programs, tracking performance and reporting on key movement or changes.
  • Prioritising milestones and customer commitments when creating consolidated schedules.
  • Managing, communicating and levelling Network Access Requests (NARs) to optimise district operator resourcing.
  • Implementing schedule changes in line with recommendations and operational requirements.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet contractual and program delivery needs.
  • Undertaking additional duties as directed, aligned with work level standards for the role.

 

 

What you bring to the role

  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline, or accredited AQF Level 5 in Project Management with at least 10 years related industry experience.
  • Class C Motor vehicle licence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in scheduling and planning with the ability to plan and prioritise projects and organise resources with tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • High level of understanding of contracts with the ability to coordinate project resource demands.
  • Working knowledge of contestability, budget management experience and  statistics and graphical representation of statistics.
  • Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office and systems.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Established interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Recognised analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly evident communication skills both written and oral with a customer focus for service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Proven high attention to detail, personal initiative and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive or personal matters.
