As a Scheduler – Network Test, you’ll play a critical role in turning delivery programs into clear, achievable, and system ready work schedules. You’ll bring structure to complexity balancing priorities, resource availability, system constraints, and operational requirements to build schedules that teams can confidently deliver ready work schedules.

Working closely with the Manager Network Test and Portfolio Managers – Network Test North and South, you’ll help define, embed, and continuously improve a consistent scheduling approach across depots. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys understanding how workflows through systems, values accuracy and consistency, and takes pride in building schedules that work in practice not just on paper.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Build and maintain consolidated schedules across annual delivery programs, balancing operational priorities, resource availability and constraints.
  • Construct practical, full day work allocations that maximise field resource utilisation while maintaining safety and service outcomes.

  • Evaluate resource requests, identify constraints, and apply consistent logic to resource allocation and optimisation decisions.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity within scheduling and works management systems to ensure schedules are reliable, repeatable, and actionable.
  • Work collaboratively with schedulers across regions to maintain consistency, share insights, and support resource sharing where appropriate.
  • Mentor and support team members in scheduling systems, processes, and best practice ways of working.‑practice ways of working.

To be successful, you will have:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling or planning roles, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work confidently under tight deadlines.
  • Experience using scheduling, planning, or workflow systems, with an understanding of how system data supports delivery outcomes.
  • A structured and methodical approach, with a strong focus on process consistency, continuous improvement, and data quality.

  • Well developed interpersonal skills and experience engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail, personal initiative, and strong ownership of outcomes.
  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or accredited AQF Level 5 in Project Management with at least 10 years of related industry experience.
  • Current Class C motor vehicle licence.
