We’re looking for a Project Scheduling Analyst to play a critical role in shaping project success through robust scheduling, analysis and coordination.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing project schedules across the full project lifecycle. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll bring structure, insight and control to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to contractual milestones.

 

This is a high-impact role where your expertise will drive informed decision-making, enhance project performance and support successful delivery outcomes and reports to our PMO Lead based in our Haymarket, Sydney office.

 

About the role

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Prepare and update the Project Schedule, in all levels, during all project phases, using Primavera P6 software.
  • Review and evaluate the duration of all activities, for all disciplines, and to include them in the Schedule, verifying consistency with Project milestones. Monthly update the actual dates. Reschedule the dates when original planned dates were not achieved.
  • Load and level resources in the Schedule. Generate Manpower histograms and follow up Manpower, including actual data and forecast.
  • Define and track key project milestones aligned to contract requirements
  • Monitor progress, analyse performance and reschedule activities where needed
  • Establish and manage activity relationships across multiple disciplines
  • Produce progress curves and conduct weekly progress analysis
  • Perform resource loading and levelling, including manpower tracking and forecasting
  • Support procurement by providing critical delivery timelines
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data and ensure schedule alignment and accuracy

 

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in scheduling and planning with the ability to plan and prioritise projects and organise resources with tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • Working knowledge of contestability, budget management, statistics, and the graphical representation of data.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Established interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
