We’re seeking a strategic and experienced Project Controls Manager to lead our Project Controls function, ensuring consistent, best-practice methodologies across the entire project lifecycle. This is a high-impact role that supports governance, performance, and delivery of programs and projects across our portfolio.

 

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Project Lifecycle Framework, including standards, RACI matrices, and governance artefacts.
  • Drive a systematic approach to portfolio performance management, ensuring benefits and capabilities are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee portfolio reporting, delivering insights that support informed decision-making across projects, programs, and portfolios.
  • Manage the portfolio scheduling function, enhancing schedule maturity and transparency.
  • Continuously improve systems and processes to boost delivery efficiency, leveraging technology and advanced metrics.
  • Facilitate and assure Project Variation Requests, ensuring transparency and traceability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to uplift project capability, including Communities of Practice and professional development initiatives.
  • Champion portfolio governance, enabling timely investment decisions and effective oversight.

To be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:

 

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or equivalent experience.
  • Diploma in Project Management or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach and mentor teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • MSP (Managing Successful Programs) certification.
  • PROSCI Change Management Accreditation.
