See yourself working here
At Ausgrid, we know that great performance starts with great people, and great people thrive when they’re supported by strategic, trusted partners. As a People Partner, you will play a pivotal role in executing our People & Culture strategy, working closely with the Head of P&C Partnering, Group Executives and Senior Leaders to shape the people agenda, build capability, uplift culture and drive meaningful organisational outcomes that power our communities.
You’ll provide strategic HR counsel, coach and develop senior leaders, and drive organisational development initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance, and productivity.
You will:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver Ausgrid’s strategy through workforce planning, organisation design, leadership development, talent acquisition, and succession planning.
- Provide coaching and development to senior leaders, fostering high performance and a culture of continuous learning.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Group Executives/Senior Leaders and facilitating seamless collaboration with P&C COE’s.
- Manage the annual people cycle for your client groups (performance, remuneration, talent and succession).
- Support leaders with employee relations matters, addressing performance, employee concerns and grievances in a fair and equitable manner, promoting a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
This is a role with breadth, influence and impact, perfect for someone who thrives on partnering with senior stakeholders, shaping strategy and enabling people to excel.
What you bring to the role
Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values.
You are a confident and proactive HR Partner with deep business partnering experience in a unionised environment, and the ability to influence at the executive level. You think commercially, act with courage and deliver with integrity, bringing a balanced blend of strategic insight and practical execution to every challenge.
You will hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, supported by extensive experience in HR business partnering or HR management within a medium to large organisation. Your background includes successfully implementing HR strategies and navigating complex change programs, demonstrating your ability to operate effectively in dynamic, multi-layered environments.
With strong commercial acumen, you anticipate how internal and external factors impact business performance and use this understanding to guide sound decision-making. You excel at building strong stakeholder relationships, leveraging exceptional negotiation and influencing skills to act as a cultural steward and talent enabler across the organisation.
