Your new role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic People Leader to manage and motivate a geographically dispersed team of Field Support Officers across the Sydney region. In this role you will ensure consistent work practices and foster high levels of engagement across your region.

Your role will see you collaborating with your counterpart in the North Region to ensure consistency across regions, while coaching and developing your team to meet operational targets and deliver effective, efficient services. You will manage compliance activities, facilitate process improvements, and implement change strategies to drive continuous operational excellence.

 

In addition, you’ll oversee business planning, work scheduling, and incident-related emergency response management. You will play a key role in promoting a safety culture, ensuring incident management plans are up-to-date, and investigating trends and risks to develop solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team and make a significant impact within our operations while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive success.
 

*This role requires a minimum of 3 days in the office each week, with rotational travel between Sydney depots – Pool cars are available and can be utilised.

*Base location can be at: Sydney CBD, Artarmon, Banksmeadow, Homebush, Oatley, Hornsby, Dee Why, Silverwater or Potts Hill.

  • Tertiary qualifications in related field or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Class C Driver’s License – ability to travel across the Sydney network regularly.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills; supervisory, negotiation, policy development and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organisation and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and developing people with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and systems.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, coordinate and deliver a wide range of varied activities.
  • Recognised excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong track record of initiating, driving and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Experience in managing a support function servicing a range of stakeholders.
