The Safety, Delivery and Operations group are focussed on delivering a safe, efficient, and reliable electricity network 24/7 and play a major role in building, repairing and maintaining Ausgrid’s network.

 

Your new role
We are currently accepting expressions of interest to build our Power Worker talent pool to fill various electrical trade roles across our organisation. By joining our talent pool, you will be considered for future openings that match your skills and qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity for talented individuals who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career.
 

These roles require electrically qualified field workers to be primarily involved in construction, repair and maintenance to ensure the safety, reliability, sustainability and affordability for customers of our network assets.

  • Lineworkers
  • Cable Jointers
  • Technicians

Locations include:  Zetland, Oatley, Artarmon, Dee Why, Hornsby, Meadowbank, Mt Kuring-gai and Homebush.
 

Spark our interest!

Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values:

  • Cert III in ESI Power Systems/Electrotechnology (or equivalent)
  • Experience in an electrical trade role within electricity distribution or relevant industry.
  • Class C/MR drivers licence
  • Sound knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations and procedures such as safe working practices, network standards and codes of practice
  • Asbestos awareness and experience working safely with asbestos materials related to cable jointing
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of safe manual handling techniques
  • Basic skills in the use of computers and mobile devices Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with others, including customers
  • Proven capability to work effectively within a team or work crew
  • Competence in the use of explosive power tools
