Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality? We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Supervisor to join our team. You will lead a high-performing crew that brings customer connections to life across the Ausgrid network. You’ll be the go-to person making sure projects are delivered safely, smoothly, and on time, all while keeping safety, quality and customer satisfaction front and centre.

  • Lead the charge on customer connection jobs, from everyday tasks to complex, high-profile projects.
  • Keep things moving by hitting deadlines, staying on budget, and reducing cancellations.
  • Share the knowledge, make sure your team is across all the critical safety info and conduct regular safety checks.
  • Work with schedulers to balance workloads and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Mentor staff, support career development, and help them level up their skills.
  • Coordinate storm and emergency responses when needed

 

What you bring to the role

To be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision of work in a heavy industry or high risk environment.
  • Sound knowledge of trade based practices preferably in the electricity distribution industry.
  • Electrical Trade Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Electrical Safety Rules accreditation.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations and procedures such as safe working practices, network standards and codes of practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing employees within own or other work group.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks / activities and prioritise activities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with customers, including the resolution of complaints / issues.
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience in a variety of software packages, tools or general applications.
  • Demonstrated capability to complete both written and system-based documentation.
