See yourself working here

As an L&D Partner, you'll work closely with the business to build the skills, knowledge and confidence our people need to do their jobs safely, efficiently and with pride. You'll play a key role in shaping how learning is designed, delivered and experienced across Ausgrid.

Working in partnership with leaders and subject matter experts, you'll identify capability gaps and create learning solutions that make a real impact. From technical training programs and facilitator-led workshops to engaging eLearning, instructional videos and digital learning resources, you'll design practical learning experiences that support performance, safety and business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders to understand capability needs and co-design effective learning solutions.
  • Design and develop engaging learning experiences across multiple formats, including workshops, facilitator-led training, eLearning modules, instructional videos, digital resources and performance support tools.
  • Create visually engaging learning content that simplifies complex information and improves knowledge retention.
  • Produce or coordinate multimedia learning assets, including video-based learning, graphics, animations and interactive content.
  • Deliver practical learning solutions that improve performance, support compliance requirements and keep safety at the centre of everything we do.
  • Champion continuous learning by helping leaders embed capability development into everyday work.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and use insights to continuously improve programs and learner experience.
  • Explore emerging learning technologies and innovative approaches to ensure our learning solutions remain future-focused and relevant.

What you bring to the role
We're looking for someone who is passionate about learning innovation and understands how great learning design can transform the learner experience. You'll bring experience designing engaging learning solutions across a range of formats, including face-to-face programs, eLearning, instructional videos and digital resources. A strong eye for visual communication, multimedia content creation, and graphic design will be highly regarded.

You'll also be curious about emerging learning technologies and how they can enhance capability development. Whether it's AI-enabled learning, immersive experiences, digital adoption tools or modern learning platforms, you'll be excited by opportunities to create engaging, future-focused learning experiences.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical experience in Learning and Development.
  • Strong background in technical training, ideally within the Electricity, Transport or Construction sectors.
  • Proven experience designing and developing practical, high-impact learning solutions.
  • Advanced eLearning development skills, including experience with Articulate 360 and other contemporary learning technologies.
  • Experience creating instructional videos, multimedia learning content and digital learning resources.
  • Strong graphic design and visual communication skills, with experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar platforms highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of the RTO/VET environment, including compliance obligations and training delivery standards.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and the role learning plays in supporting safe, compliant operations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes efficiently.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and sound problem-solving capability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach and the confidence to work effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
