- 12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Potential Extension | Salary range $145k - $170k + 16.5% super with take home company use vehicle + overtime

As a Health and Safety Business Partner, you'll work alongside operational leaders and frontline teams across some of Australia's highest-risk and most critical infrastructure. You'll help influence decisions, improve how work is designed and performed, and contribute to keeping our people and communities safe.

- Model visible leadership and actively demonstrate our Work Safe Live Safe and Customer-focused values.
- Support our cultural transformation, partnering across our operational portfolios, working with our frontline leaders. Health and Safety Representative (HSRs) and Health and Safety Committees (HSCs).
- Support the delivery and implementation of the Safety Rewired Strategy and programs, aiding change management processes to ensure effective adoption across client groups.
- Lead and facilitate risk management, compliance reviews, and corrective action management activities across occupational and psychosocial hazards.
- Lead public safety incident investigations and reporting requirements.
- Translate data and trend analysis into business-unit-specific insights that support the identification of emerging risks and themes.
- Champion innovative ways of working that support our strategic objectives and reduce risk to our people and communities.
- Assist with tendering, contractor onboarding and joint venture assurance and risk management activities.

- Diploma level tertiary qualifications in work, health and safety and/or relevant trade-based qualifications or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a H&S role in high-risk industries. Demonstrated knowledge of safety theory and practical application across complex, geographically disbursed, matrixed organisations including Safety 2, Human and Organisational Performance (HOPs),
- Human Factors and Critical Control Management.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively communicate, influence, coach and mentor stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation of complex risk assessments and investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies.
- Adaptive and agile critical thinking and processing ability, with the capacity to translate complex technical issues into simple, easy-to-understand explanations or processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of contractor management and delivery models.
- This role will be required to provide coverage of afternoon/night shift as required, in line with the EBA provisions.
- This role will be required to respond to serious incidents and injuries.
