Your new role
In this role, you will monitor the effectiveness of H&S programs, champion innovation and continuous improvement, and deliver best-practice initiatives to enhance safety performance. Key activities include conducting assurance reviews, supporting project delivery leads, and performing both desktop and field assurance activities. You’ll also contribute to the implementation and improvement of Ausgrid’s 10 Fatal Risks and Critical Controls, ensuring the right controls are in place and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
The role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to embed Critical Controls and foster a positive safety culture. You will play a key role in major safety projects, including the Fatal Risk Review Program, Critical Control Management Program, and the Health & Safety Strategy, delivering key outcomes such as bowtie risk assessments, Verification of Competency (VoC) assessments, and improved work practice documentation.

• Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office and systems.

• Ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
