We’re looking for a Finance Coordinator to join our team and provide high-quality financial support, analysis and reporting that helps drive informed business decisions. In this role, you will be supporting financial activities associated with asset management, capital expenditure programs and project-related investment outcomes across the business.

As the Finance Coordinator, you'll play an important role in delivering accurate financial administration, reporting and analysis while maintaining strong financial controls and governance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, reviewing and maintaining financial reports, reconciliations, schedules and supporting documentation.

  • Supporting capital expenditure reporting, project accounting and asset-related financial activities.
  • Providing financial analysis and reporting to support asset management and investment decision-making.
  • Investigating financial data discrepancies, reconciliations and transaction anomalies, ensuring issues are appropriately resolved.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, workpapers and audit trails in line with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to coordinate reporting inputs, audit requests and financial deliverables.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, reporting and data quality.

What you bring to the role

You are a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, insightful and timely financial information. You're comfortable working independently, building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant diploma, advanced certificate or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion).
  • Demonstrated experience in audit, risk, financial controls, assurance or governance-focused finance roles.
  • Experience preparing reconciliations, journals, financial reports and supporting documentation within established governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances and interpret financial information.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capability and experience using enterprise financial systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to maintaining high standards of financial control and accuracy.

Highly regarded (but not essential):

  • Experience gained within a Big Four accounting firm or a large professional services environment.
  • Exposure to utility, energy, infrastructure, construction or other asset-intensive industries.
