Our Safety, Delivery & Operations group is focussed on delivering a safe and reliable electricity network and play a major role in building and maintaining Ausgrid’s network.
You will work with a team of Engineers and Engineering Officers to safely manage key projects that include the maintenance, replacement and upgrades to Ausgrid’s distribution network (415V to 11kV) around North Sydney, CBD and Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, as the Engineer / Engineering Officer, you will effectively manage competing priorities to ensure the safe and reliable supply of electricity to our customers.
Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
- Control all aspects of each project, such as initial desktop assessments, conduct site visits with relevant stakeholders, develop project plans and schedule field resources
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and provide quality job documentation to field teams to ensure the safe delivery of work for the continued reliable operation of Ausgrid’s network.
- Monitor projects costs to ensure work is carried out efficiently, and in line with budgets and program unit rates.
- Utilise relevant systems to manage work, including ensuring network information is accurate and maintained.
- Effectively plan, review and authorise work to enable safe and efficient completion by field or other employees.
- Work with field leadership teams and employees to enable the effective planning and allocation of resources.
What you bring to the role

To be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or Advanced Diploma in an electrical or relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent).
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- Proven experience in project management in construction or utility industry
- Stakeholder management experience in a related or similar industry.
- Intermediate computer skills with experience in a variety of software packages, tools or general applications.
- Demonstrated experience and technical expertise gained in a relevant trade; or experience in an engineering related or technical role; within the electricity distribution or related industry.
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking or managing multiple tasks and / or projects and prioritising activities.
- Demonstrated experience working within a team environment to effectively deliver projects or work outcomes within appropriate time frames and costs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
