Reporting to the Portfolio Manager the Engineering Officer (EO) will work with a team of Engineers and Engineering Officers to plan maintenance, breakdowns and construction on Ausgrid’s Distribution network, which includes overhead, underground and substations work. 

You will undertake desktop analysis of assigned work, site visits and discussion with Field Supervisors / Leading Hands, Job Planning which includes, preparation of Network Access Requests (NARs), Job Packs, Resource Requests, NECF and booking associated external resources.

The Engineering Officer manages internal and external stakeholder relationships and provides quality job documentation to field teams to ensure the safe delivery of work for the continued reliable operation of Ausgrid’s network.

We are looking for someone who is Trade qualified with technical expertise gained within the energy industryYou will have a proven capability to work effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders. Safety will be your core value and you will be passionate about delivering a safe & reliable network for our customers.

 

To be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:

 

  • Demonstrated understanding of or experience in a relevant trade and/or engineering related activities within the electricity distribution or relevant industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply experience to resolve routine issues during delivery of works in the field.
  • Experience in the planning, coordinating or supervising of work activities and / or resources
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and / or projects and prioritise activities
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience in a variety of software packages, tools or general applications
  • Experience in monitoring costs and financial impacts across work activities, projects or programs of work.
