The team is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality electrical and communications infrastructure services across a range of network and non-network projects. Their work includes the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems, lighting, power, data, fibre optics, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI). Working collaboratively with other trades and project stakeholders, the team plays a key role in fault finding, problem solving and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to industry standards. With a strong focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement, the team is committed to delivering reliable outcomes while maintaining a flexible, cooperative and customer-focused approach.
As an Electrical Services Technician, you’ll be playing a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality electrical and communications infrastructure services across a diverse range of energy, construction and infrastructure projects. your work will include the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems, lighting, power, data, fibre optics, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI). Projects may involve supporting commercial and industrial developments, renewable energy initiatives, transport infrastructure and emerging technologies that contribute to more sustainable and connected communities. Working collaboratively with other trades and project stakeholders, you will play a key role in fault finding, problem solving and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to industry standards. With a strong focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement, you and the team will be committed to delivering reliable outcomes while maintaining a flexible, cooperative and customer-focused approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage Safely complete work to the required standards of quality, cost and time
- Maintenance and installation of low voltage services (light, power and data) and fibre network equipment.
- Liaison with other trades on building and constructions sites
- Investigate, test and resolve faults and interruptions
- Prepare written reports on work performed
- Deliver work in line with project schedules and within cost/time parameters
- Prepare work site and equipment to enable safe completion of work
- Competently use basic hand and power operated power tools and equipment
- Use, interpret and apply drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes and specifications
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be directed by your Manager, in line with the Work Level Standards for this role

To be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:
Qualifications
- Completion of electrical trade course
- Possess Qualified Supervisors Certificate
- Class C Drivers Licence
- High Risk Work Licences (HRWL) – multiple e.g. EWP, Dogging
- Basic Austel cabling licence
- Hold Accredited service provider level 1 & 2 classification
Essential criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the installation and maintenance of low voltage construction and communication works on buildings, construction sites and similar
- Competent to interpret technical drawings and work on light, power and telecommunications drawings
- Effective communication and negotiation skills appropriate to deal with a variety of stakeholders including, members of the public, external contractors, suppliers, customers and similar.

- Manual Handling Techniques
- Possess sound experience and knowledge of the conventions followed by electricity distribution systems
- Demonstrated experience coordinating work with other trades and conditions on construction or building sites
- Basic knowledge of small cell components & installation practices
Desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of metering installations, power factor correction equipment, overhead and underground low voltage services, LV Switchboards, fibre optic cable installations and microcells/Small Cells.
- Hold current forklift licence
- Hold MR and or HR Drivers Licence(s)
- PUMS installation including relevant paperwork
- Supervise & Coordinate project to the value of 20K
- Team leader on small projects
- Switchboard construction up to 100amps
- Undertake wiring of electrical panels to applicable designs, specifications, standards and drawings
- Asks for information

- Provides feedback to other technicians or Supervisor
- Complete tasks as required
- Knows & fulfils acceptable workmanship
- Able to work without close supervision
- Liaise with key internal and external contacts such as customers and contractors
