Your new role
As the Draftsperson, you will be responsible for supporting the electrical design of sub-transmission, zone, and distribution substations. You will produce design drawings as guided by team members, using the relevant design software platforms.
Your key responsibilities will also include (but not limited to):
- Produce electronic design models in both the 2 dimensional (2D) and 3 dimensional (3D) drafting space.
- Design specific components allocated within the total design package.
- Quality check designs including those produced by external consultants and resolve any conflicts.
- Assist in the continuous process improvement of and innovation in the use of design tools.
- Liaise with clients on project deliverable requirements.
- Enter all produced drawings into the various relevant drawing/document management systems, including design files produced by external consultants.

To be successful, you will have:
- Possess a drafting tertiary qualification (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience working in a similar role.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of design software platforms such as Auto CAD, Microstation and Revit.
- Demonstrated experience with drafting in 3D.
- Possess a strong understanding and competency in the use of the workflow software packages such as Vault, Aconex and ProjectWise.
- Proven ability to interpret functional requirements from design engineers and develop practical design solutions.
- Proven ability to interpret technical information, drawings and reports.
