Your new role

Reporting to the Field Supervisor, your role is crucial in ensuring the safety, reliability, sustainability, and affordability of our overhead network assets for our valued customers.

 

Working to the highest standards of quality, cost, and time, your dedication to safety is paramount as you inspect, install, and maintain overhead network infrastructure and electrical equipment. From structures to cables, your expertise ensures smooth operations near live electrical apparatus. Your responsibilities extend to preparing work sites, liaising with key contacts, resolving customer complaints, interpreting technical documentation, and participating in emergency restoration work.

Energise us through your skills and qualifications in: 

  • Qualified Line Worker– Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in an electrical trade role within the electricity distribution or related industry including experience in line work
  • Class MR drivers licence
  • Electrical Safety Rules accreditation and other relevant statutory training
  • Sound knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations and procedures such as safe working practices, network standards and codes of practice
  • High Risk Work Licences (HRWL) – multiple such as Elevated Work Platform and Dogging
  • WH&S WorkCover – General Induction
  • Asbestos awareness and experience working safely with asbestos materials related to line work
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of safe manual handling techniques
  • Basic skills in the use of computers and mobile devices
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with others
