Join our Customer Strategy team in a high-impact role focused on driving business improvement, customer journey optimisation, and data-led transformation. This role goes beyond strategy, as the Customer Strategy Lead you’ll own and deliver end-to-end initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders to translate insights into practical, measurable outcomes.
You’ll play a key role in shaping how Ausgrid uses customer data, technology, and AI to improve experiences and deliver long-term value.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of business improvement and customer strategy initiatives
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the business
- Analyse customer data and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Define and optimise customer journeys, identifying pain points and driving solutions
- Develop business cases, proposals, and execution plans to support change initiatives
- Lead cross-functional workshops and align teams on outcomes
- Project manage delivery, track benefits, and ensure outcomes are realised
- Build and present business cases for improvement projects, aligned to governance processes and endorsed by senior leadership
- Contribute to project and portfolio reporting for senior management and executive sponsors
What you bring to the role

To be successful, you will have:
- 4+ years of experience with minimum 2 years experience in Tier 1/2 management consultancy, investment bank or corporate strategy team
- Demonstrated deep experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving
- Outstanding academic records, tertiary qualifications is essential
- Experience in energy / customer is an advantage
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, business or related commercial discipline
- Experience in management consulting (Tier 1 / Tier 2 firms highly regarded)
- Proven ability to lead and deliver complex projects end-to-end
- Experience in developing and implementing system and process improvement initiatives, with a high level of creativity and innovation to identify future opportunities and directions
- Demonstrated research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse content and communicate clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
