See yourself working here
As the Business Operations SME, you’ll be the central coordination point supporting the operations of Ausgrid’s Distributed Battery team. Reporting to the Asset Performance Manager, you’ll play an important role in assisting with the establishment of new processes, systems, and ways of working, while also helping to ensure the day-to-day business and operational activities of the program run smoothly. Your work will span program support and coordination, operational workflows, system and process support, stakeholder and community engagement, and the ongoing operations of the battery team.
This role calls for a self-starter and great communicator, someone who can work closely with the Asset Performance Manager, provide dependable business support and enable clear, timely communication with internal teams, suppliers, commercial partners and the community.
What you’ll do:
- Provide coordination and operational support to the Asset Manager and the broader Battery team, ensuring day-to-day business activities are well organised and aligned.
- Support program delivery across commercial administration, project development, commissioning, and ongoing operations, helping maintain continuity across all lifecycle stages.
- Prepare professional documentation including reports, briefing notes, presentations, contractual notices, and meeting minutes, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication to executives, partners, suppliers, and community stakeholders.
- Assist with financial processes by raising purchase orders and reconciling invoices in SAP, and monitoring budget expenditure to support cost control and financial reporting.
- Maintain key operational records such as service tickets, outage and interruption logs, compliance data, and CRM records.
- Enable effective stakeholder engagement by supporting internal meetings, coordinating community engagement activities, and facilitating external partner sessions, site visits, and launch events.
- Support compliance and quality initiatives by maintaining high-standard documentation processes, assisting with ISO 9001 readiness, and tracking corrective actions.
- Contribute to process and system improvements by documenting workflows, supporting system testing, and helping embed enhancements into business-as-usual operations.
- Assist team coordination through managing action registers, shared inboxes, calendars.
- Support asset management governance by assisting with warranty claims, ensuring structured use of SAP and Asset Management Plans, and maintaining performance visibility.

You’re a detail driven business operations professional with a passion for everything you do. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to your daily work. You’re quick to spot issues, propose practical solutions, and take decisive action to get things done.
You’ll also bring:
